This is a work in progress that I'd like some feedback, suggestions,
etc. on. This is a (yet another) deck designed to shove Uriah Winter
down my prey's throat. This time, once he moves to my prey, I tag him
with Seeds of Corruption to keep him there and then plaster my prey with
Betrayers. As with most trick decks, this one appears to be fairly
fragile and I'd appreciate any assistance with making it less so while
preserving the intent of the deck. I can add up to 4 more Betrayers and
I would happily reduce the number of the cards in the deck if it would
help.

This is a deck that was designed to make Clan Loyalty a useful card. I'm
using it with Derange to make bleeds virtually unblockable. While I'm
aware that I'm probably one of few people that can actually build this
deck, I'd like some feedback on possible tweaks. I haven't played it
yet, but it seems like it's missing something.

Okay, basically it's just another IG deck that uses the time-honored porportions 
handed down to us mere mortals by His Potent Majesty of Kicking Ass, Peter. In fact, 
the only thing significantly different is the Succubus Club. I was trying to go for 
an exortion angle ("give me pool or your vampire gets it") but the Club was either 
Suddened or came up too late in the game to make a difference.

The deck has a tendency to jam up a bit about 1/2 to 2/3 of the way through the deck 
with a few masters, Bums Rushes, Tastes, PFs...pretty much everything but Potence. 
I've found that if you just push though it, let a few of your guys take some knocks 
and cycle some cards, the deck starts to flow again. There is an upside though. By the 
time everone realizes you've jammed up, you're not actually jammed up any longer. 
So they lose fear of your combat and you happily get to rip off another head to 
their dismay.

Some of you may recall the Mind Rape/Rave/Force of Will/Daring the Dawn 
combo brought up earlier this year. Here's a deck that makes use of the 
new cards to effectively implement it. 
To date, I've only found the Giovanni to be effective with it, but the 
Malks might be a possibility as well. Anyway, here it is.

Reality Bites

Okay. Bad pun for a title aside, Ravnos have tried a lot of different 
tactics before, but bloat has never really been one of them. This untested 
deck is a prototype based on a large vampire to play Reality to effectively 
banish another player's vampire and swarm it with a bunch of little Ravnos 
coming at it with Trick of Danya. After playing it a few times, I'll 
published a revised version if necessary.

Lasombra's web site already has a deck called "The Mass Reality of Zip Guns," 
(http://www.thelasombra.com/decks/zip_reality.htm) but I wanted to do something 
a little more focussed. Since the Ravnos only have one way of dealing 
with S:CE... keep attacking them until they run out. That's why Freak Drive 
is extremely important. If you don't get them with the Bum's Rush, Freak Drive 
and get them with the Haven Unconvered.
 
One caveat, this deck hasn't yet been tested, so when I built the deck 
I stole some from Lasombra's deck and some from Peter Bakija's Potence 
Weenie rush combat deck. I've got 12 Bum's Rush cards and 5 Haven Uncovered 
cards. I might shave a few off of the Bums Rush and Carrion Crows if I find 
that I need more damage prevention, but if ranged damage isn't used very often, 
you probably won't need it. As it is, the Skin of Night will at least keep 
your vampires from being burned or nailed by a Dawn Op/Skin of Night/Weather 
Control combo. If I find that, as usual, the blood costs of cards are a bit 
high (big suprise there), I'll try to fit in some Masochism cards to make 
the Zip Gun damage work for me.

Deck of the Month: Ravnos "Lock Down" deck

The theme of the deck is simple:

Minimize the ability of your prey to block you by effective use of
Brainwash, Pentex Subversion and Sensory Deprivation and stealing blood
from their uncontrolled vampires and putting it on yours.

Minimize the ability of your predator to oust you by putting them into a
defensive mode by using Pentex Subversion on their key vampires.

Make use of the various methods to increase blood gain. Hunting for one
blood is a horrible waste of time when using Chimerstry and you should
be taking actions that will result in a gain of two or three blood.

Take every opportunity to bleed your prey for as much as possible. Pool
gain is difficult to come by for the Ravnos, so getting that six pool
from ousting your prey is paramount.

It's a few years old, but there's the "Uriah Winter, Trojan Horse of the 
Giovanni" deck that I built a while back. You turn Uriah Winter into a 
Brujah with Vasilis and then dump him off to your prey, giving all of your

Malkavian "Mini Me" Deck from GenCon

After a couple of requests for the deck that I played at GenCon, 
I'm posting it publicly so people can see what I did.
 
It was fairly basic in design and the only thing I should have done 
differently would be to add a few Sport Bikes or other intercept. 
It would have made a lot of difference as the big cap vampires rushing 
off to the 5th Traditional Hospital would have been slaughtered. 
I toyed with the idea of using Form of Mist and Earth Meld...but 
I figured that I'd be open season for Potence or Thaum/Thoughts 
Betrayed rush decks. Using Flesh of Marble/Claws of the Dead wound 
up having the same effect as players were a lot more hesitant to 
block me.

On the 7th day of christmas...

Well, here's my most recent version of a deck designed to get seven
raptors onto a vampire and cycle my prey's library. The idea behind this
deck wasn't just to cycle the library, but to torporize the vampires
while they have an empty hand. It had to cycle pretty well because I
have a total of 12 Raptor cards and I'd never get 7 on a single vampire
if it didn't. That and I wanted the deck to be dangerous even before I
accomplish the main goal.

here's a fun deck that combines Using the Advanatage and the Madness Network 
to generate huge amounts of pool.  I almost played this at Origins this past
year, and it remains one of my favorite decks. Since the Madness Network is 
an easy target, I've packed some intercept and a little agg damage to back 
it up. It's not big on huge bleed amounts, but the bleeds are nearly impossible 
to block with the horrific amount of stealth in the deck.  

This is one of my few decks that doesn't follow a 6 card limit, 
but it doesn't go hog wild either.

Since it's become the subject of conversation long enough,
I might as well post the deck.The group I play in uses 6 
card limit.  If you don't wish to use 6CL, you may trade 
the 3 Peace of Khetamon for 3 Banishments.  I have yet to 
try the variation of trading the 3 Peace cards for 3 1st Trad's,
but I would be interested in what it does for the dynamic 
of the deck.

There's been a few decks based on Bauble.  Here's my take on it.
I tryed it last night in this form and I was fairly pleased.  The
original version was poor at card cycling and this one was much
better. When I ousted the last person on the table last night, I had
no cards left in my library and 7 cards in my hand. Everyone else 
at the table was playing some form of a combat deck, so it was a 
good way to gauge its performance in heavy combat situations.  
Seeing as it got 4 out of 5 possible victory points, I was
pretty happy. Instead of being a rush combat deck, it's an 
intercept combat deck. A heavy stealth bleeder will prolly 
overpower the intercept, but those sort of decks aren't common 
in my group. One comment about the number of weapons.  
Bauble only goes through your library.  It cannot take cards 
from your hand.  If you get weapons in your hand, discard them.  
The reason there are 10 weapons and 6 baubles is to allow for 
some discarding of weapons.  Anyway, here it is.

Okay...I'm bored at work and I feel like throwing out some decks
for discussion.  *grin*  Hopefully, this will help others with any
deck construction ideas they may have.

This is an updated version of the previous deck that I posted.
I've added some extra bleed potential.  This has resulted in
making it a more winning deck.  It's gone through a lot of
play testing and as a result, the combat portion of the deck
has been tuned pretty well.

The 20 master cards shouldn't be too bad since the Discipline
cards should be coming out through diablerie, giving it an
effective master card volume of about 15-16.

Oh!  Here's a dom-cel-pot 4CL deck that does failry well at covering all
the bases.  It's got some bleed (which I mainly use to get out younger
vampires) some combat and some votes.  It's not going to win tournaments,
but it's a fun deck. You should have no problem tuning it to taste.

I threw this up on the VTES-L list already...but this is for those who aren't
on it.  This is a 6CL deck.  The original version had a Memories and a
Blood Doll instead of the two Barrens.  Also the Laptop Computers were
a replacement for more Computer Hacking.  The Sport Bikes replaced more
another Arson, PF, and 2 Dodges.  I've toyed with variations using Ambush
or Delaying Tactics (or Surprise Influence).

Using pre-7/7 rules, I've had no problem sweeping small tables with this
deck since I'm able to concentrate my Memories better and I've had no
problem burning vampires with PF.  I'm going to try it out on a JOL game
since that will be the most adverse conditions for the deck.

I'm interested to see how the rest of the text of PF works out.  If I hit a
vampire down to zero and use PF, they're going to go to torpor as soon
as they have to hunt.  With enough weenies at my disposal (or Nephandus)
burning vampires in torpor should be pretty much risk-free.

The deck construction uses the same formula that I use for all my decks:
12 vampire crypt, 90 card library containing 20 master cards.

Here's the 2nd rendition.  The crypt is the same.  I replaced one of
the Slave Auctions with a Tribute.  I also replaced the Art of Pain
with an Arboretum since I really didn't want to get in combat.

I also scrapped the 2 Enchant Kindred's in favor of 2 more Legal
Manips.  I shaved some of the Aires and Social Charms to make
room for the Dread Gazes and Surprise Influence such for vote
defense.  The reason I used both was so that I sould stack them
if needed.
