At the beginning of 2007, I was asked to start a "What's New" page by one of the newer players in Chile.
This page will document changes both to this website, plans for the game as a whole, and new websites
and utilities created by other players.
Changes that took place in 2012, 2011, 2010, 2009, 2008, and 2007.This is the page for 2009.
European Championship 2010 Announcement 12/21/2009
Hello all,
The place and date of the next VTES European championship are set:
It will be the 28, 29 and 30 of October 2010, at R.I.P (Résidence Internationale de Paris),
44 rue Louis Lumière, in Paris (metro: Porte de Bagnolet), France.
The website is http://ec2010vtes.com
The usual schedule will be used, i.e:
LCQ on Friday, October 28th
EC Day 1 / side event on Saturday, October 29th
EC Day 2 / FCQ on Sunday, October 30th
The venue can host up to 250 players for the tournaments. The venue can also provide
accomodation for 300 people, with room prices between 50€ (a single room) to 25 € per night
and per people (bigger rooms for 3, 4 or 5 people).
The rooms will be at our disposal from the Thursday night to Sunday evening (so we will
have time to play casual games or indulge in other boardgames and geek activities ;-)
We are thinking about a mini-Week of Nightmares the days before the main event,
but nothing is planned for sure yet.
More information will be available as soon as possible, including when it will be possible
to make the reservations for accomodation, how to do it, who to contact, etc.
Merry Christmas and a happy new year!
Kamel Senni, President of VEKN France
Vincent Ripoll, Prince of Paris
Philippe Lang, National Coordinator France

Heirs to the Blood
Release Date: Feb 3, 2010
Power Pulses in the Vein
The descendants of Caine are many, and their blood is diverse. It may infuse a vampire with spiritual hunger, or stony endurance, or the maddening touch of the fae. Bloodlines arise and struggle for power against the entrenched clans. The blood will prevail.
Heirs to the Blood
White Wolf's seventeenth expansion for Vampire: The Eternal Struggle is Heirs to the Blood, which focuses on the bloodlines and infernalists.
Each booster pack contains 11 cards randomly selected from a set of 168 all-new cards consisting of 54 rares, 58 vampires, and 56 commons.
The set also features 4 non-random preconstructed decks: Gargoyle, Kiasyd, Salubri antitribu and Samedi, which contain even more cards and are designed to get beginning players started right away. All the new cards in the preconstructed decks are also found in the boosters, and naturally each preconstructed deck contains reprints of vampires and library cards from earlier sets.
Locate players in your area at http://www.white-wolf.com/vtes/search.php.
New Stuff
Research Area: Some cards may move cards to a special staging area called the research area. The cards in your research area are face down and out of play; they can be affected only by cards and effects that say so explicitly.
Maleficia and Striga: Two new Disciplines that are only available to infernal vampires. The same way that Caitiff is not a clan, these are not true Disciplines, however (so just like "Caitiff" cannot be chosen for Consanguineous Boon, Ian Forestal couldn't use his ability to meet a Striga requirement, for example, nor could Maleficia be chosen as one of the Great Beast's Disciplines.

Eden's Legacy
VTES Fall 2009 Storyline Event
For centuries the Royal Order of Edenic Groundskeepers conducted their
clandestine research. Slowly, carefully, they built their maps, documenting
in detail the secret resting places of the world's Antediluvians and
Methuselahs. The members of the order have gathered the secrets of their
forbearers and the world's greatest trove of Kindred lore. Recently, several
scholars of the order mysteriously disappeared while researching a site near
Mombasa. Teams of strange Kindred have appeared in cities around the world
to abduct the remaining members of the order and claim their research. It
has become clear that the secret society had been penetrated or betrayed.
As the secret of the Edenic Groundskeepers is revealed, the world's Methuselahs
realize their sudden peril, and the opportunities before them. The clandestine
struggle for control of the information unearthed by the order begins. Some of
the Methusleahs are motivated by the desire for the secrets to remain hidden.
Others are motivated by knowledge and the chance to learn the secrets of the
Edenic Groundskeepers. Some Methuselahs see the order's trove as the key to
victory in the great Jyhad. Others view it as instrumental to Gehenna itself.
Only when the fate of the order has been determined, and the reasons behind
their betrayal and abduction are revealed, will the Methuselahs come to
understand Eden's Legacy.
