What do people think about these league rules i whipped up this afternoon? thanks... Attrition League League Set Up: Each person who wants to play in the League chooses a clan. No one may choose a clan that has already been chosen. (Players should note the crypt rules below when choosing a clan). Each player then decides what grouping pair they want to play with their clan. (g1/2, 2/3). Game set up: When building a League deck you must abide by the following additional crypt construction rules: No duplicate unique vampires in the crypt, except you may include both advanced and base version of advanced vampires if you wish. No more than 3 vampires in the crypt who are not of your chosen clan. These off-clan vampires may only be from clans that have eight (8) or less printed vampires, in any two consecutive groups, and/or Caitiff. No vampires in your crypt may be on the Final Death list (see below). Base or Advanced is not recorded on the Final Death list, so for example if Marcus Vitel is on the list, you may not include either base or advanced Marcus in your crypt. No more than 4 non-unique vampires in your crypt. Game: Each game must have 4 or 5 players, and all players must be in the League. This continues until you want to start a game but the League is down to 3 or fewer players. At this point the player who won the most games, out of those still in the League, is the winner of the League. Break ties as per VEKN tournament rules. Players are assumed to be playing to win the League as a whole. This means they are allowed to play in a manner that would be contrary to winning the current game, provided it is promoting their position in the League. Games may be timed or untimed, whatever the players agree to. If a player has to leave mid-game, they are treated as ousted for the purposes of writing to the Final Death list. Post Game: Whenever a Methuselah is ousted, all the vampires in their ash heap, and any of their vampires that were 'removed from the game' have their names written on the Final Death list, unless another Methuselah controls or is contesting a copy of that vampire. Additionally, the bottom two vampires of their crypt have their names written on the Final Death list, unless another Methuselah controls or is contesting a copy of that vampire. If there are no vampires left in the crypt, the predator may choose two vampires that were in the deck to have their names added to the Final Death list. If there was one vampire left in the crypt, it has it's name recorded on the list, and the predator chooses one other vampire. The predator may not choose vampires controlled or contested by other Methuselahs. No vampire on the Final Death list may enter play. If a vampire on the list should enter play, it is removed from the game instead. Record scores, as per VEKN tournaments. Out of the League: Whenever it is not possible for a player to build a legal crypt using their chosen clan and grouping, they are out of the League. Additional Complications: Any Library card that is unique that is burned from play is also entered onto the Final Death list if it is in a Methuselah's ash heap when they are ousted and no other Methuselah controls a copy of it. Unique library cards that are removed from the game are also entered onto the Final Death list when the owning Methuselah is ousted, unless another Methuselah controls or is contesting a copy of it. Any library card that is on the Final Death list may not enter play. If it is brought into play non-voluntarily (eg: Vast Wealthing a unique equipment card) it is burned instead of entering play, with no cost paid. Late Joiners: If you want to allow it, players could be allowed to join the League after it has already started. If they do so, however, they should not choose a clan that was already chosen (for example, someone might have chosen Brujah 1/2. They might be out of the League by the time someone else joins, and the new person should not be allowed to choose Brujah 2/3 (1/2 obviously would not be allowed due to the lack of available living vampires)). A player that has been removed from the League may be allowed to re-join with a new clan, at the other player's discretion. When a player joins the League late, they should have 2 random vampires of their clan and grouping entered onto the Final Death list, plus one other random vampire of their clan/group per League game that has already occurred. salem domain:canberra http://www.geocities.com/salem_christ.geo/vtes.htm
