Sabbat War Spoiler

Saturday Oct. 28th the pre-release party in Atlanta took place and was
a smashing success by all accounts as the Sabbat triumph over the
wretched Camarilla. Along the way I managed to collect a few new cards
my favorites will be highlighted in the newsletter this month. So
without further ado here’s what I’ve found with some comments.

Inner Essence
Combat
Vic
Text: Play before range is determined. Once this combat, this vampire
can reduce the cost to play a combat card by one blood. A vampire can
play only one Inner Essence each combat.
(S) As above, and gain a blood.
Artist: Steve Prescott
---
Inner Essence should be a great help in fending off those expensive
vicissitude cards and has the added bonus of giving your vamp a blood
back in superior. As anyone can attest, keeping blood on your vamps is
sometimes more important than your actual pool total.

The Path of Metamorphosis
Tzimisce
1 Pool
Text: Unique Master
Put this card in play. Tzimisce burn one less blood when playing cards
that require Vicissitude. Any Minion may burn this card as a (D)
action; if that minion is a vampire, he or she takes one damage (damage
not preventable) when this card is burned.
Artist: Drew Tucker
---
A path all to our own, this card should find a home in most Tzimisce
decks. Also, per card text it applies to all Tzimisce at the table so
no need contesting when a fellow fiend sits down at the table.

Meld with the Land
Combat
Vic
Text: Strike: combat ends and untap the opposing minion.
(S) Strike: combat ends.
Artist: Mike Danza
---
This card aches for limited play environment. The big bonus here is
when you just happen to be deflected to another player. Let him block,
then untap him for his troubles. There is some hidden power here,
especially if the person had to use a Wake to block, now you’ve left
him untapped for his predator.

Kraken’s Kiss
Combat
Vic
1 blood
Text: Strike: strength+1 ranged damage. If this striking vampire takes
more than 3 damage this combat he or she goes to torpor.
(S) As Above, with an optional press, only usable to continue combat,
and once each round for the remainder of this combat, this vampire may
strike to steal two blood at close or long range.
Artist: Drew Tucker
---
Strike strength +1 ranged, hmmm... lots of Horrid Forms, Maneuver, and
bam! Plus just the fact your head is now a giant tentacle, should be
more than enough fun for one evening. Again in superior it works like
an old fashioned Theft of Vitae. Just don’t take more than 3 damage or
another vamp will be having squid for dinner.

Terrence
Tzimisce
Capacity: 4
Inf: Ani, Aus, Vic
Text: Sabbat
Artist: William O’Connor
---
A new vamp! Isn’t it nice to finally have a quality 4 cap with all 3 in-
clan disciplines? Now if there were only a 3 cap with superior
animalism or vicissitude, the world would be right.

November Birthdays

Happy Birthday Bram Stoker, Bram turns 153 on November 8th and I turn
another year older as well. Without Bram’s novel Dracula, there may
never have been V:TES. You can read Dracula online:

Deck Ideas

This month we'll focus on the Little Tailor of Prague. Basically look
how cheap things are now, guardian ghouls free, revenants free,
warghouls cost 1 less. The new deck ideas abound. If it’s an
intercept deck the Little Tailor, Heidelburg Castle Germany and plenty
of revenants would be a cheap source for intercept with a minimal use
of card slots. Another idea could be lots guardian ghouls and lots of
computer hacking. And finally the warghoul deck gets a little cheaper
to play.

Hopefully once I’ve had a chance to really digest the new set I’ll have
a nice deck for the next newsletter.

The October Contest winner

In the first contest ever hosted by this newsletter we actually had a

Q2.) How many actions does it typically take to bring a warghoul into
play?
A2.) 2 total, one for the Ally or Retainer and one for the warghoul.

Q3.) What is the definition of vicissitude?
A3.) Change

Q4.) What is the Little Tailor of Prague's nickname?
