V:EKN Clan Newsletter - Tzimisce
May 1999
Volume 1, Issue 1

Introduction
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
"Tzimisce: Members of this ancient clan are arcane scholars, descended
from the house that once ruled fiefdoms in Eastern Europe. They are masters
of Vicissitude (shaping living forms), Auspex, and Animalism."
The Sabbat Rulebook
"The Tzimisce's signature Discipline of Vicissitude is the subject of
particular dread; tales speak of crippling disfigurements inflicted on a
whim, of ghastly "experiments" and tortures refined beyond human - or
vampiric - comprehension or endurance."
The Clans:
Vampire: The Masquerade

Strategy Corner:
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
One of the biggest complaints of intercept decks has been, that you tend to
damage your predator more frequently than your prey. One good way to get
around this problem is by encouraging your prey to actions against you.
Some cards that may cause your prey to look right:
*Army of Rats, deals damage to your prey during each of your untaps.
*Revelations, makes your prey to play with an open hand.
*Tier of Souls, gives one of your vampire a +1 bleed against your prey.
A few cards that may encourage more than just your prey to take an action
against you:
*Smiling Jack the Anarch, deals damage to the entire table.
*The Rack, continually feeds a vampire blood.
*The Powerbases, to feed your blood pool.
(Watch out for Day Operations)
Since combat decks tend to rely on Bum's Rush, Ambush, and other get into
combat cards, Eagle's Sight, can be viewed as the Bum's Rush of intercept
combat. It enables one of your vampires to block any action, now all you
have to do is block.
Still need intercept to block your prey? May I suggest Melange? Not only
will you receive +1 intercept, but also a bonus, one-time, +1 bleed your
blocker can gain in the future when bleeding the controller of the Melange'd
vampire.
For some additional intercept strategy check out the following Duelist
article, Intercept: Beyond the Basics.

Intercept For Profit: Deck Of The Month
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
The following deck attempts to capitalize on the Tzimisce's skill of Auspex
to intercept and cause pain, gain big bleeds, and deny your prey/predator
the ability to take actions.
