V:EKN Official Toreador Newsletter October 2003 Introduction: So here we are again; autumn closing in over us, days getting shorter and temperature falling rapidly. I am late with this newsletter. Playing in five tournaments in one month takes its time. The month of August saw three Toreador decks winning as recorded by TheLasombra. Two of them relied heavily on Toreador Grand Ball and two were Mastercard based. After August - nothing. I have been experimenting with the Anarch aspect but this far the decks have been more fun to play than actually being good. In the end the best attempt turned out to be a Gangrel Baron deck with two Toreador helping out. As several others we're eagerly awaiting the Black Hand release, and I have hopes for some help from the !Torries as both clans share disciplines. Playing Toreador: Two types of decks seem to be prevalent at the time being. Master/Attrition and Gun/Walls. If you act you do so under the protection of Toreador Grand Ball. It's actually been a while since I last saw a classical Toreador voter running from combat with Majesty, and I wanted to walk down that road again. It turned out to be very little Toreador and very much something that you normally wouldn't consider a voter at all. Well, at least the deck features Toreador. Mostly Protean and Presence. Idea came when I was wondering what Christopher Houghton could be used for. Name: Anarch Voters Author: Sten During Description: Become Anarch, become Baron and start voting and bleeding while bloating. More fun than good. Does take the occasional table. Dies immediately to heavy stealth bleed. The aggro is there for making sure that people don't fall asleep around you.
