Official Ravnos Newsletter Issue 3 June 1st 1998

IN THIS ISSUE - Something different this month ...

Ravnos Ratings - each Ravnos vampire is rated and broken down with comments
Thought I'd give you all a breather from the "horrid reality" of my
storytelling.

RAVNOS RATINGS
Sasha Miklos - RAV 2 chi
RATING: 5/10
Comments: What more do you want in a 2 pt. Ravnos vampire?

Lazar Dobrescu - RAV 3 for - (D) move 1 blood from vampire in your prey's
uncontrolled region to vampire in your uncontrolled region.
RATING: 6/10
Comments: Deadly with a Fortune Teller Shop out 2nd turn. Lazar is now
every Ravnos decks' first vampire out, n'est pas?

Tsigane - RAV 3 chi aus
RATING: 4/10
Comments: Give her superior Auspex and Chimerstry and she can counter up to
3 pool per bleed. Only problem is that there are only 2 other vampires in
the game with Chimerstry and Auspex.

Salbatore Bokkendro - RAV 4 for CHI pro
RATING: 7/10
Comments: The best 4pt. and under Ravnos around. The Protean is extremely
useful with Darius.

Andrei Puxon - RAV 5 chi for ani cel
RATING: 4/10
Comments: Regardless of the cost of Celerity, this 5pt. vampire doesn't even
have one superior discipline. For 1 more blood you get a vampire with 3
superior disciplines.

Joaquina Amaya - RAV 6 ANI CHI FOR - +1 stealth when equipping
RATING: 10/10
Comments: The Holy Grail of Ravnos vampires. Joaquina can do it all. And
her ability doesn't suck.

Sarisha Veliku - RAV 6 FOR ANI chi dom
RATING: 7/10
Comments: She would have been worth more if she has superior Chimerstry.
However she is still very much worth the cost. Nice all round vampire for a
Ravnos with Dominate.

Vaclav Petalengro - RAV 6 ANI CHI for pot - +1 intercept vs. GAN
RATING: 8/10
Comments: Vaclav is the perfect vampire for Immortal Grappling. His
superior Animalism and Chimerstry work very well with Potence (Drawing out
the Beast Conquer the Beast and Apparition) I notice that the 6pt. Ravnos
have great cost/discipline ratios.

Natalia - RAV 7 chi for ANI dom - +1 bleed
RATING: 6/10
Comments: Only superior discipline is Animalism. the extra bleed costs too
much it seems. Perhaps it's the Dominate, but look at Sarisha and
Kostantin. Not worth the cost. +1bleed seems to bear a heavy cost for
most vampires under 9 capacity.

Petru Sipos - RAV 7 CHI SER for ani - As an [D] action, Petru can steal 1
blood from a vampire in torpor.
RATING: 7/10
Comments: Hard to use defensively because of her inferior Animalism and
Fortitude. The superior Serpentis is cool for Temptations and Form of
Corruptions. Anyone come up with good deck concept with her?

Tereza Rostas - RAV 8 CHI FOR ani aus pot - Tereza may burn 2 blood to
attempt to get the edge from another Methuselah as a [D] action.
RATING: 5/10
Comments: Worst ability in the game, hands down. Anyone want to debate?
Her skills are alright, but not worth the cost, unless your deck consists of
ALL her skills.

Kostantin, Baro of the Caravan - RAV 9 ANI CHI FOR cel dom - As a (D)+1
stealth, Kostantin may steal equipment from another minion.
RATING: 9/10
Comments: King Kostantin they call him. No other Ravnos affects the table
like Kostantin - because of his ability. Wait till everyone builds up on
equipment then relieve them of their excessive baggage, for free.

Darius Styx - RAV 9 CHI FOR PRO ani tha - As a [D] action Darius may pick a
card at random from a Methuselah's hand. If it is an equipment or retainer
card, place it on Darius at no cost; otherwise return it to the Methuselah's
hand.
RATING: 8/10
Comments: Darius is a work of art. His combination of skills brings to mind
so many deck ideas, not to mention the dreaded "Dawn Op Weather Control Skin
of Night" deck. His ability isn't that bad, either.

Next month, I'll return to the old format. See you in thirty,
