The 'Zine of Malkav #8a (September 2003) _______________ Thing of Stuff: 1. Introduction 2. Fiction (or is it?) 3. V:TES stuff 4. Et Cetera & So Forth 5. To Be Continued ______________________________ 1. Introduction ______________________________ September is the month where the winning Clan for Storyline: Lambach's Legion is determined. So far, by unofficial counts and rumours, Malkavians are in the lead with 4 Victories! Will the loonies be able to hold their first-place position, or will another Clan rise up to overcome them? Frankly speaking, I'd love to see a wacky card made for the Malkavians and not some boring card for one of those Other Clans. :) -t!MmY, the mad ¡nker (PS: This month's Newsletter will be broken up into two smaller Newsletters just for the fun of it) ______________________________ 2. Fiction (or is it?) ______________________________ "Get in the car," the vampire said as the car doors opened. "Not until you tell us who you are," Brian demanded. There was a low, rumbling sound like a subway speeding by underground. It was echoed by several other similar sounds slightly farther away. The rats that had been chewing on the scattered corpses stood still for a second, then quickly retreated to shady alcoves. "I suggest we discuss this after we are at a safe distance. Unless you'd rather stick around here and chat." The man glanced behind Brian. Brian turned around to see another one of those giant, albino reptiles pulling its way out of a manhole. "How many of those things do they have?!" he exclaimed. When he turned back he saw Waldo and Todd getting into the car. He quickly followed them. The man got inside on the passanger's side. Without looking at the driver he simply said, "Go," and the car took off. ______________________________ 3. V:TES Stuff ______________________________ Featured Deck Deck name: A little of this, a little of that. Creator: Jonatan Berg Theme: No specific theme, but this deck was incredibly fun to play even though it didn't win the game I played it. But, to its defense it held back a Lasombra presence vote/baltimore purge deck and beat the crap out of a Toreador vote with obfuscate. Maris ran low on blood quite fast but it helped to steal Van der Veken and Heidelberg his blood to her. And since I was the only one heavy on intercept and had Maris out I decided which actions were to be blocked around the table. Fun fun. The Baltimore purge cards have to be used with care and I had to put three Madness Network in because people always try to burn it real quick. I might get rid of the Dominate masters to put in some more fun stuff. It's weak in combat but I might try to fix that. Et Cetera & So Forth ______________________________ Here's to the good start the Malkavians have at winning the Storyline Tournement! Hurray! Sad to say, but I probably won't be able to contribute to the Malkavians wins this time around. There isn't a tournement near enough for me to attend. Well, there was one in San Francisco yesterday (Saturday, 13th), but that's just too far away for someone in America who doesn't drive a car (yes, the public transit system is that bad). Well, maybe I'll post the deck I wanted to play in the next Newsletter just to let everyone know what they were missing out on. ______________________________ 5.
