Neil Paananen paananen@ix.netcom.com presents: The Official Malkavian Antitribu Newsletter Vol. 1 No. 3 October, 1999 Ah, October, truly a good month for vampires (though the Boulder tournament will be in November, see later). In this issue we will look at two Malkavian Antitribu only cards and see a deck that uses both. Tournament Announcement 1: Crusade: Boulder will be held on November 14th at Dragonfire in Boulder, Colorado. It will be only be a Sabbat sealed draft deck tournament if I can get any (seems highly unlikely), otherwise it will be a sealed draft Jyhad tournament using GEHENNA RULES!!!! We shall see. Two cards you might like: "Enchanted Marionette." A great one. Yes, it costs three blood, but the cost to your prey will be much, much greater. It can only be used by Malkavian antitribus which decreases its usefulness somewhat, but not for me. Fun is using the Heidelburg to switch the enchanted marionette between two bleeding !Malks. Double your pleasure, double your fun. "Escaped Mental Patient." Not quite as great, but still an enjoyable card. In truth, this will be the first deck I've made that uses it. Comparable to the Muddled Vampire Hunter, but it's not unique, and only gets a powerful strike if it burns at the end of combat. "The Lunatics are Taking Over the Asylum Deck" (a bleed/ally combat deck) Vampires Quira, The Bitch Queen x1 Muriel Foucade x1 Boy Toy x1 Artemis x1 Yorik x1 Claven x1 Vasantasena x1 Zoe x1 Normal x1 Dollface x1 Watenda x1 Zebulon x1 4x Escaped Mental Patient 3x Muddled Vampire Hunter 1x Institution Hunting Ground 1x Asylum Hunting Ground 3x Mind of a Child 5x Cloak the Gathering 5x Lost in Crowds 2x Psychic Veil 5x Swallowed by the Night 5x Dodge 5x Fake Out 4x Sacrificial Lamb 1x Palatial Estate 3x Sport Bikes 1x Ivory Bow 1x Sengir Dagger 5x Confusion 5x Eyes of Chaos 5x Kindred Spirits 5x Telepathic Counter 3x Telepathic Misdirection 4x Blood Dolls 3x Obfuscate 3x Dementation 2x Auspex 1x Heidelburg 3x Wake with Evening 1x Forced Awakening 1x Enchanted Marionette The concept of this is to bleed much, and use the allies to beat up vampires who come your way. Gain blood by sacrificial lambing torpored vamps. Save the Escaped Mental Patients for sure wins in combat (they're very probably going to die) and *use the Mind of a Childs to guarantee that a vampire won't use its nasty disciplines to defend itself * (this idea courtesy of the Prince of Bratislava and the inspiration for this deck). The Muddle Vampire Hunters are good at killing the little vamps. Have fun! Neil Paananen Archbishop of Denver paananen@ix.netcom.com
