Gargoyle Slave Magazine #1 - Being oppressed Rocks! ************A Gargoyle Newsletter************ By: A.Gyhlesten 1 - Editorial Information 2 - This issues hunk: Fidus 3 - This issues deck: Fidus - Mother & Friend 4 - Signing out ===== 1 - Editorial Information ===== Hello, The writer of this issue of Gargoyle Slave Magazine (aka Gargoyle Newsletter) is not Jesse the Cthulhukitty, but me Alex. I decided that the clan needed a new newsletter since the last one came out in 2006 and I wanted to kickstart the newsletter part of the Vtes community. It has run a bit thin and there was a recent discussion on the subject of newsletters overall the last week, so I decided to pick it up and toss around the idea. I will not promise a steady source of these, I just picked the Gargoyle clan because I had a deck idea and there was a gap between today and last newsletter, making it ideal. Enjoy! /alex fnurp ===== 2 - This issues hunk: Fidus ===== There is one Gargoyle that will forever be my dearest and this lovable little fellow is Fidus, the Shrunken Beast. Fidus, The Shrunken Beast Clan: Gargoyle (group 2) Capacity: 4 Disciplines: for tha vis Camarilla Tremere Slave: Fidus gets +1 stealth on undirected actions. -1 strength. Flight A mere 4 cap with +1 stealth on undirected actions is my cup of tea, since I like a little tooling up and there's nothing as annoying as being blocked while building up your table position via casual intercept. Fidus helps a lot with this. The fact that he can magic of the smith via his tiny pentagram powers is also nice and the "newly" printed card mirror walk gives him some extra free stealthing. The slave status and his weak hit back has been a torn in the side, he cant do some impressive Raking Talons aggro pokes when aggressors try to rush him, but overall i feel that his toolboxy potential more than makes up for this in the long run given the proper deck. There is also a lot of Anarch potential within the young rockman and he can become quite an asset as a builder in a toolboxy anarch deck. Potentially a great bloat to boot :) ===== 3 - This issues deck: Fidus - Mother & Friend ===== This deck was the sole reason I decided to create this newsletter in the first place and it stars this issues hunk: Fidus. The idea is to create a swarm that steadily bleeds into your prey with some stealth to back it up and use the hatchlings + created gargoyles as a buffer for blocked tremeres. Put the Humanitas on a dedicated rescuer (Hello Fidus?) if your little guys start getting used to the torpor region. I put in a blood saving module consisting of Life in the city, a hunting ground, the coven, coolers and a copy of aarons feeding razor to juggle blood and bloat some pool back home. This decklist can obviously be brushed up a bit, but it should prove to be a good starting point for the deck idea.
