Intro

Siren's Call is back, with a new editor. The last issue dates from
December 2001 and I thought it would be a shame to leave all those
numerous DoC fans without a shepherd. A lot of people underestimate
the Daughters and I will proof them wrong.

Verse

Biography of Evelyne Duloise

I've always dreamed of becoming a singer... I was born on a cold
October night 1858 in London as Evelyn Withinger. My parents were
aristocrats and thus I had to behave like one and wasn't allowed to
deal with people under our social class except for our servants.

When I was 8 years old my parents took me to an Opera. When we came
back I knew that someday I'd be there on stage performing for a big
audience so I told my parents I wanted to be a famous Opera singer. My
parents were very excited about it and the next morning they arranged
a private singing teacher for me. I practised a lot, most of the day
actually.

It was during those days that prince Albert had died. There were
rumors about an Opera House being built in his honor and if they were
true, I was destined to be the star of it. Queen Victoria was indeed
planning on building an Opera House, the Royal Albert Hall. In 1874 I
joined the Royal Choral Society. It was very obvious I had talent, so
I became the leading singer. My parents were very proud of me.

In 1876 we had the honor to perform in the Royal Albert Hall for Queen
Victoria herself and I wanted to impress her. We rehearsed alot, but
because I felt I sang a lot better than the rest, I wanted to have a
solo part to impress the audience. I asked the dirigent, who was a
friend of my parents, and he agreed. The rest of the choir wasn't too
happy, but the dirigent paid no attention to them and thus I could
have my big solo. I became vain and started treating the others as a
stuck up bitch. There was one girl however, who completely agreed with
me on everything. Gaël was her name. She told me she was French and
she had immigrated to England with her parents. Gaël sang very nice,
but not nearly as good as me.

To be continued…

Chorus

Echo of Harmonies

Action Modifier
Presence/Melpominee
1 Blood

Only usable during a referendum
pre: If you burn the Edge for a vote, this vampire gains two
additional votes.
mel: Usable by a ready vampire other than the acting minion. This
vampire gains two votes.
MEL: Usable by a ready vampire other than the acting minion. Move the
political action card used to call the referendum from your ash heap
to this vampire at the end of the action. This vampire may burn that
card to call the referendum as a +1 stealth political action.

The potential of this card is huge! If you mix the Daughters with
Toreador or Ventrue you can even use it at basic presence as a sucky
Bewitching Oration if needed, but to get the most out of this card you
need Melpominee. At basic Melpominee you can use it for vote pushing
and note that every Daughter you control, tapped or untapped, can play
one during the same political action. All this is nice but things get
real ugly with superior Melpominee. In order to call the referendum
again your vampire must still meet the requirements. (Camarilla,
Prince, …) Let me see, I'll play a KRC and another one and another one
… Play them to keep the Consanguineous Boons flowing, to bloat or to
steal all locations with Disputed Territory. There are numerous
options you'll enjoy. This card is a must in a political Daughter
deck. I usually play 4 or 5, but more will certainly not hurt you.

Bridge

Angela Preston
5 cap, MEL PRE for
Daughters of Cacophony
Camarilla:
Angela must burn 1 blood to attempt to block an older vampire. You may
tap Angela during your influence phase to untap any other vampire.

She is without doubt the best of them all with superior Presence and
Melpominee and you'll probably put multiple copies in your crypt.
Eventhough her drawback is kind of annoying and
you will not use her special ability a lot, it's the superior presence
that puts her over the top. Her vote pushing is a lot better
(Bewitching Oration and Voter Captivation that is) and let's not
forget she's Camarilla so she can become Prince for some permanent
voting power. So what if she only has inferior Fortitude, it's good
enough to play Freak Drive or if really necessary Daring the Dawn,
which are the 2 most common Fortitude cards in a DoC deck.

Also quite noticeable is the art done by Christopher Shy. I must admit
I am not a big fan of him, but Angela isn't like all the others, in
fact all the Daughters don't have a I've-seen-this-art-before-look
except for Gael Pilet who has the face of Maris Streck.

Mandatory Drum Solo

Deck Name: Daughters and Daddy's
Created By: Den Alex
Description: These Daughters know who their Daddy is. Nasty bleeds and
political actions. Paris Opera House is a must in this deck. Silly but
fun: if you are being bled attempt to block, then give the acting
minion stealth by tapping a Daughter and the Paris Opera House, then
deflect.
