--[1.1 -Word from the Editor]-----------------------

Welcome,

This newsletter was unfortunatly 2 days late and this is a very thin
newsletter. It´s not that I lacked ideas for articles for this issue,
it´s just the time that have slipped away. So, to next months issue
I´ll promise you a bigger, bader and better Ahrimanes Newsletter >:-)

Digest with care,

/Alexander Gyhlesten

--[1.2 -the Rack Forum News]------------------------

O´boy, there´s things happening over there. I´ve caught a moderator
for the Ahrimanes Newsletters forum, his nick is Dr Jester and warmly
welcome you to stay in the forum for a while and have a chat. This
months most-talked about is defenitly High Top, so if you think you´ve
got something to share about High Top please help yourself over there
and give us a hand.

As the first issue had it´s poll on the Forum, so did the second. This
time a total of 5 brave souls voted (It might not sound that much to
you, but I was excited that so many voted) and the results are:

3 Thought that Issue #2 was Good.
2 Thought that Issue #2 was Okay.

Of course this months newsletter also has a place on Rack.tk´s forum
and the adress is:
http://ramzeus.hn.org/~alex/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=20

Thank you for supporting Ahrimanes Newsletter by voting in the poll
and/or dropping comments.

--[1.3 -Next Issue]---------------------------------

Until next issue I will harvest among my article-ideas so you readers
can enjoy a bigger issue next time. If we´re lucky (and I know we are)
Dr Jester will send me a interesting article before the deadline, that
he has been working on quite some time know. If you got something to
hand over to this newsletter then mail it to: Kitzune@Tjohoo.se

Next issues deadline: 23/3 2003
Next issue´s release: 27/3 2003

--[2.1 -Interview with David Quinonero]-------------

In Crispy Claws (Ahrimanes Newsletter #2) I sent out a wish for
someone who won a Hazimel Storyline Tournament with his/her Ahrimane
deck to get in touch with me. TheLasombra gave me David Quinonero´s
e-mail and he and I had a quick chat about his deck (whitch can be
found under 3.1). Here you got some from Mr. Quinonero the Younger:

Why did you choose to play with Ahrimanes in the Eye of Hazimel
Storyline?

Ahrimanes is a clan that at the very first called my attention because
of the animalism and presence conjunction together with the then new
spiritus, thus giving chances to make a combat deck a winning deck,
thanks to presence bleed actions. I design the deck to play the first
Storyline tournament in Palma de Mallorca and I swept all the tables I
played in. At last I was second in the final due to a miscalculation.
I thought of a deck with permanent abilities as maneuver, bleed,
intercept, damage and blood source because they run out of cards
relatively easily. That's what I use Jackie Therman, Tasha Morgan, Mr
Winthrop, Raven Spy, Sport Bike, KRCG News Radio, Murder of Crows and
The Rack. Since then little modifications have been made to the deck,
2 or 3 cards, in relation to the deck I played in the last Storyline
in Atlanta.

How did the deck work?

The deck worked pretty good, taking into account that I didn't play
with heavy combat decks nor stealth&bleeders.

Witch vampire did the most for your deck?

Howler, without any doubt.

Do you think there should be more Ahrimanes in future sets?

Yes, Absolutely!!

Did you have a key-card that did magical things?

I don't know if it is the appropriate word, but Nose of the Hound I
think was the scariest card for all the players in the table. It is
the only way I have to change the fate of a table to my own profit
together with my beloved Falcon's eye.

Whitch clan is most lethal to your strategy with your deck and whitch
clan would be your dream-prey?

If I have to reduce my choices to a clan, the most lethal clan as a
predator and prey would be a Malkavian stealth&bleed based deck and a
long range heavy combat deck that can be easyly played e.g. with
Brujah or Lasombra, respectively, but this is a very specific oriented
deck thereby you will seldom find it in a game.

High Top´s not included in your deck and I´ve never seen a deck
featuring the werewolf. In your opinion: Is it a card that could be of
more use than it seems like or is it just wallpaper?

In my opinion it does not fit into my strategy so for me it is
wallpaper. I think it is overcosted (4 pool); 1 strenght, 0 bleed, 1
optional maneuver, 1 aditional strike and you will seldom use its +1
intercept because you will prefer using its special rush ability,
therefore it will be tapped mostly all the time. If you want to
intercept, use ahrimanes instead, they are used to it.

--[3.1 -... And justice for All]--------------------

Author: David Quinonero
Strategy: This deck it is mainly based on Howler and her optional
maneuver. My vampires are most of the time tapped due to the great
deal of actions they have to performe (32 in total). This is why I
have 14 cards to attempt to block actions while tapped, and it works
very well :) Basically, Howler recruits between 2 or 3 Murder of
Crows. When in combat, she goes long range after playing Carrion
Crows, resulting in enviromental 4 or 5 damage. And I use Nose of the
Hound to get rid of my prey's or predator's vampires, depending upon
the situation, or even I use the Nose to come after any vampire from
any metuselah who I consider is leading the table. This is why I use
Falcon's Eye, to attempt to block any metuselah's action that can
decide the fate of the table. When my prey is weakened, is a matter of
time to oust him with +1 or +2 bleed actions.
