Please don't take this the wrong way but ummm this deck would stink up the house in my group (some of whom still play 4CL even tho I convinced the group to not enforce this FINALLY!!) I have argued relentlessly in favor of card limits in the past and this group shut them all down. I got Pissy for a while then I tried NCL and Found they were right the game flows much better this way and more decks are viable. I know you have said that you prefer NCL but Play 4CL because of the playgroup so I thought I'd share the argument that eventually got my group to play by the official rules. Magic needs a 4CL because some of the cards are overpowered and you only have to beat 1 opponent. When they die you win. In tourny Jyhad you have to take out up to 5 other people, the great combo that would oust someone can only happen 4 times if your very very lucky. Take away luck and you might get 1 VP if that, simply not enough to call a victory or in some cases even advance at all. In Jyhad you have to deal with more people therefore you need more copies of your key cards "just" to deal with the additional opponents whatever strategy you choose to use.(not counting S&B) As a side not I will add that IMO 4CL'ers who convert are generaly better at getting out of tight situations in a game than lifetime NCL'ers because you spent so much time making do with what you have that you have less of a all hope is lost because he(predator/prey)picked the wrong deck and it hoses me attitude. as well as the fact that while focused a converts deck usually IME has offshoot cards (Toolbox if you will) That help them to weasle out of situations that the other players simply did not expect to see after figuring out the focus of your deck. Dont give up on this deck it needs serious adjustments no doubt but you might make it into a killer if you weed down the cards and hopefully get to face some skilled opponents (no offence but if this thing is winning then you need good opponents more than you need NCL) Ask Xian about the time he and (most of) the rest of the group said my Toreador toolbox was the worst deck ever. we met, we played and I then proceded to clear the table of very focused NCL decks with my sorry 4CL toolbox....(hunting for another game with Xian) Eric "my theory hasn't changed just my card count"
