Q1: How (and when) did you begin your career as a VTES-player? Who introduced you to the game? Where did you play originally?

In 1994, I played the V:tM RPG for the first time with my friend Tim, in Madison, WI. Later in the year, I found out that there was going to be a CCG based on the RPG. Since this was obviously a great idea, I bought in as soon as the cards hit the shelves.

Q2: Which of the Sets and Expansions to VTES is your favorite, and why is it your top choice?

The Jyhad base set, primarily because the game was incredibly well-balanced for being so young, even if there were some flaws. Most of the mainstay cards of the game are from that set (Govern the Unaligned, Deflection, Parity Shift, KRC, Majesty, etc.); and it has Cardano. Sweet, sweet Cardano.
Final Nights comes a close second -- simply for Aisling Sturbridge, Theo Bell and Perfect Clarity.

Q3: What is your favorite deck to play, and why?

Currently, it's Dragos and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day. This is subject to change with some frequency. Other past favorites have been Folderol and Murmur of the False Will.

Q4: If you could add something to the game, what would it be?

Zombie referees that eat the brains of people making idiotic deals.

Q5: What do you do to help promote the game / why are you in this list of people?

I write the V:EKN Clan Tremere Newsletter and have had success with the Tremere in large tournaments -
www.waste.org/~xian/geek/jyhad/news/ I attempt to collect the most bizarre decks known to man -
www.waste.org/~xian/geek/jyhad/freak I attempt to collect strategy articles

And I make a good posterboy.

Q6: What is your favorite deck style for casual play / tournament play?

Casual: combat
Tournament: bruise & bleed

Q7: Is there a difference between your casual play and tournament play?

Not really. In my own playgroup, I'm willing to let others' etiquette breaches slide, but I attempt to keep my play at a high level.
