Q1: How (and when) did you begin your career as a VTES-player? Who introduced you to the game? Where did you play originally?

My wife and I decided to buy a game we could play with each other. We saw VTES and went to buy it but... they were out of stock. We bought Magic and started playing it instead. A few weeks later we finally bought VTES but the rules seemed somewhat confusing. We discovered a new club that was in the strangest place, it looked like a farm in the centre of Lisbon, and we had to cross the carrots and tomatoes to get there. Inside we meet someone who taught us VTES and started playing Masquerade with us too. Our first real game was in a tournament were we took the two decks and a couple of boosters, David Pontes created for us the decks. The game club finally got a new place and we start playing there.

Q2: Which of the Sets and Expansions to VTES is your favorite, and why is it your top choice?

Ancient Hearts. It has a special place in my heart. It was the first collection I finished and has one of my favourite Clans - Setites.

Q3: What is your favorite deck to play, and why?

That would be the Allies Giovanni, they kick ass ;)

Q4: If you could add something to the game, what would it be?

A different set. Some system with the same rules but that took place in Dark Ages. With equipment, actions and stuff more into the Dark Ages mood, Some very old Vamps, torture chambers, inquisitors etc. I think that would be fun.

Q5: What do you do to help promote the game / why are you in this list of people?

ok, first I decided to create some files in e-book format with the Rulings and Errata’s updated, they grow every day and sometimes is difficult to get into the net quickly. Then I converted to this format all the rest of the rules like, tournament rules, complete rulebook, etc. I wanted to do some more for the game and decided to join the prince ranks, I do weekly demos since I started as a prince; I do averagely a monthly tournament. I created a web page that began only as a means to share the e-book files, but now describes the activities of my domain – Loures http://vteslx.cjb.net. I do demos in other places out of Lisbon; my last demo was in Leiria that is more then 100 km away from Lisbon. My domain has grown and in 10 Months or so has reached to 60 players. I have created a wolf pack with my wife called Luna’s Children and we do demos of RPG and CCG together.

Q6: What is your favorite deck style for casual play / tournament play?

For casual play I like the mess up deck, I love to see a Vamp with a mind of a child :) For tournament, I prefer bruise and bleed type.

Q7: Is there a difference between your casual play and tournament play?

In casual I'm more loose and advise players that some types of mistakes are not tolerated in tournament, like getting the pool from the edge after the untap phase. In tournament, I take it more seriously and follow the rules to the line.
