Q1: How (and when) did you begin your career as a VTES-player? Who introduced you to the game? Where did you play originally?

I first began playing Jyhad in August of 1994 with a group of Vampire the Masquerade players in El Paso, Texas. I played there for 2 months, then moved to Seattle, Washington. I played in Seattle until July of 1997, when I quit my job with Wizards of the Coast and moved to Austin, Texas. I played in Austin until July of 2001, when I moved to Atlanta, Georgia.

Q2: Which of the Sets and Expansions to VTES is your favorite, and why is it your top choice?

The original Sabbat set is my favorite set/expansion for the game. The quantity of new cards, new vampires, and new combinations, kept me imaginative and creative with the game for 5 years. The Sabbat also was the first set to introduce enough new vampires that contesting became a thing of the past, and I have very rarely seen a vampire contested since it came into print.

Q3: What is your favorite deck to play, and why?

The one that messes with my opponents expectations, either using a card not previously seen, or some combo that is almost never seen. I don't have any one specific deck that is my favorite.

Q4: If you could add something to the game, what would it be?

In the immortal words of Robyn Tatu: "More Players".

Q5: What do you do to help promote the game / why are you in this list of people?

I have created and/or maintained the following websites to help keep the game interesting and alive.

I also frequent most of the major internet forums for the game to help answer questions and provide advice for deck building.

Q6: What is your favorite deck style for casual play / tournament play?

For casual play, I prefer some variant of vote deck. For tournament play, I prefer to play a deck that does not interact with the standard defenses. This usually means some form of vote deck, an Anarch Revolt style deck, or a Smiling Jack intercept deck.

Q7: Is there a difference between your casual play and tournament play?

Yes, I am a lot less helpful to other players in tournament play. In casual play I am fairly likely to offer advice that will actually benefit the other player, in tournaments the advice will only benefit me.
