Q1: How (and when) did you begin your career as a VTES-player? Who introduced you to the game? Where did you play originally?

Back in the day. David Castles and Charles Loflin started me right as Jyhad was released and we played for a couple years, with the addition of Danny McGurl we actually had decent games. Later I hooked up with LSJ and we started having tournaments every couple of months between Atlanta and Columbia. Later Tatu joined us because of a mutual acquaintance ( David's wife ). Then Todd, and his crowd joined in with us. And finally, we hooked up with the last of the reclusive Atanta Jyhad players ( matt and his boys ).

Q2: Which of the Sets and Expansions to VTES is your favorite, and why is it your top choice?

Final nights - LSJ was finally able to balance things. His influence is the major reason that the game is still hanging around IMNSHO. Of course, I have 'helped' him to understand some broken cards along the way. ;-)

Q3: What is your favorite deck to play, and why?

Bi V2.0 - it's all about the flow - should still be on the Davilla Atlanta Deck archive somewhere - !Ven with lots of untap intercept and prevent followed by lots of bleed. I have never made a more easily flowing deck before. I always had the cards I needed when I needed them and that is a truly amazing thing.

Q4: If you could add something to the game, what would it be?

Speed - 5 and sometimes 6 player games with people who haven't been playing for at least 5 years can take forever. We used to really be able to play quickly back in the day I was in Atlanta, and that was great. Todd, Tatu, David and I could play a game in 20 minutes which was complete and balanced game. We just played that efficiently.

Q5: What do you do to help promote the game / why are you in this list of people?

Not really, sure. Could be my Jedi Mind Trick or my going back on an Oath. Might be my JOL tournament. I guess I've kinda made a name for myself in the game.

Q6: What is your favorite deck style for casual play / tournament play?

Always Dominate - all the time. It's still the best skill in the game. Pick up a combat skill to keep you alive, and you are halfway to a deck.

Q7: Is there a difference between your casual play and tournament play?

Not really. I play One Trick Ponies when I feel like it - for tournaments or for fun. I play serious combat or bleed when it is time for that from a metagame standpoint. It's all about having fun and making a deck that does something - makes a statement.
