Q1: How (and when) did you begin your career as a VTES-player? Who introduced you to the game? Where did you play originally?

Sometime during 1999 my fiance and later wife introduced me to a cardgame. I reluctantly agreed as my only experience had been Magic but agreed that it (VTES) had its charm. We played a lot of Rage and started buying Sabbat War as it was released. She had access to Jyhad, VTES, Dark Sovereigns and Ancient Hearts and be stockbought those expansions. With some 5000+ cards we could suddenly make fun decks without competing for cards. All early play took place in Gothenburg and Karlstad.

Q2: Which of the Sets and Expansions to VTES is your favorite, and why is it your top choice?

My choice has to be the Camarilla Edition as it brings back a horde of old players as well as attracting RPG-gamers to the game as well. It is also (my opinion) a far superior layout compared to the old one for clarity, especially to new players.

Q3: What is your favorite deck to play, and why?

Currently it is my Master Madness as it is probably both the best deck I have ever created as well as being comparatively innovative. At least I have never heard of anything really like it. It is linked to at http://www.vekn.nu. You'll need to create an account and then you'll find it in the Decks section.

Q4: If you could add something to the game, what would it be?

More classifications that would be part of the basic rules-concept in order to enable cards to act on those new classes. Eg, all rush actions actually classified as Rush so that you could for example have a Block a Rush and prevent 2 points of damage.

Q5: What do you do to help promote the game / why are you in this list of people?

I'm the Toreador Newsletter editor, help Archie (Prince of Gothenburg) running our tournaments. I'm a conceptual co-developer of www.vekn.nu and I attempt to travel around gaming in order to place Gothenburg on the VTES-map so that our local players will feel proud and bring in more new players. I'm also running our weekly pubgames.

Q6: What is your favorite deck style for casual play / tournament play?

Toreador bloating gunners with an idiotic amount of locations and other permanent effects. I love building myself a position from where I can actually continue playing after depleting my deck. Unfourtenately I'm not overly succesful at it so it seems I can develop that style for another three years at least :)

Q7: Is there a difference between your casual play and tournament play?

No, normally not. I do play more experiements during casual play, and if there's a truly new player at the table I'll actually allow myself to be ousted rather than oust him/her if he/she is my predator - if at a casual game that is.
