Q1: How (and when) did you begin your career as a VTES-player? Who introduced you to the game? Where did you play originally?

1994. a buddy of mine got this whiz bang game that used cards to represent magical powers and stuff. it was called magic the gathering. it looked pretty neat. he then mentioned he'd heard about a game using cards based on Vampire: The Masquerade (which i played), so i thought i'd hold off spending any money on this magic thingy and save it for Jyhad. Best decision of my life, probably.

Q2: Which of the Sets and Expansions to VTES is your favorite, and why is it your top choice?

Jyhad. because it introduced the Tremere. Merill Molitor, in particular, just looked so _cool_.

Q3: What is your favorite deck to play, and why?

um...erm...hard to say. it varies every week. my etrius deck was my favourite, but it's been dissassembled for months now. can i get back to you?

Q4: If you could add something to the game, what would it be?

a 4 card limit. (just kidding!)

Q5: What do you do to help promote the game / why are you in this list of people?

umm....my website, domain canberra http://www.geocities.com/salem_christ.geo/vtes.htm also a mailing list for locals and interested interstaters to keep them up to date with what's going on in canberra and vtes land in general. i organise a club at the Australian National University (i'm president) that books rooms at the uni for weekly play and for tournaments, meaning entry fees can be kept to a minimum (the weekly games are free, the tourney fees go towards subsidising future sealed tourneys). i judge most of the tourneys, i have been keeping a webpage with info and a qualifiers list for the australian championships, i'm hosting the australian championships this year (with lots of support and organising being done by the other australian princes, especially Merto for his huge push for it and subsequent efforts)...ummm....i go interstate and lose badly at other tournies to help out their locals (although not on purpose :), i pester lsj about things i think are inconsistant, and i make meaningless noise on the rgtcj newsgroup.

Q6: What is your favorite deck style for casual play / tournament play?

toolboxy. usually with a good dollop of fightin'.

Q7: Is there a difference between your casual play and tournament play?

only in my choice of deck to play.
