Q1: How (and when) did you begin your career as a VTES-player? Who introduced you to the game? Where did you play originally?

Back in the days (1994), I was deeply into WW RPGs especially Vampire and werewolf so when the CCG was announced, I was more than eager to try this new game. Since I was still in France at the time and without a good grasp of the English language, it took me and a few others a little (!) while to play correctly :). The length of the games put off the players one by one (preferring the quicker games of MTG) so it wasn't until i moved to Portsmouth (UK) that i started playing VTES seriously (Thanks again John and Leggy!)

Q2: Which of the Sets and Expansions to VTES is your favorite, and why is it your top choice?

I am tempted to say Bloodlines for the amazing possibilties of the set and the way White-Wolf handled that rather delicate problem but my all-time favourite set has to be Sabbat, first set to introduce a clan so dear to my heart, the Fiends of the World of Darkness, the Tzimisce!

Q3: What is your favorite deck to play, and why?

Favourite deck before Cammarilla edition: Kupala's Wrath 2.0
Dare i say, Ultimate combat deck? :) An early edition can be found on the November 2001 Tzimisce newsletter. Here.
Favourite deck after Camarilla Edition: Charge of the Heavy Ghouls
As everybody has guessed, it's a War Ghoul deck. Extremely reliable and resilent, the deck has that ability i cherish to fully interact with the table (ok, by means of rush and torporising vampires but that's interaction, isn't it?) What can i say? I love table dynamics :) I've won a tournament with that deck (Folderol: London Sat 15th June) and reached the finals four times in a row. Yes, I do like that deck!
No listing available as i'd rather keep the fine details of that deck to myself :P

Q4: If you could add something to the game, what would it be?

Though one. Never thought about it really. I'd like to see new Tzimisces (What?! what else did you think I was going to say!?!)

Q5: What do you do to help promote the game / why are you in this list of people?

As the current editor of the Tzimisce Newsletter, I tried to share some of my *ahem* experience of the game and the clan. Great fun to do even if the last one was in January :) What's 11 months for he who is immortal? I also run demos for Mike Nudd (Prince of London) whenever we have big events around here. Great to corrupt the malleable minds of the new generation, to turn them to the dark side of the Sabbat...

Q6: What is your favorite deck style for casual play / tournament play?

My tournament decks almost always involve hard core combat and/or Tzimisces. I've tried countless times to build some dirty Sneak/Bleed to upset the metagame a bit but I can't seem to be able to do so. My last attempt at an old school Malkavian S&B ended up as a Malk OOT Rush. Go figure! As for casual decks, they are usually based on wacky combos or weird concept (e.g. !Nosferatu with Feline Saboteur and Clan Impersonation for those sweet Slaugtherhouses or 13 disciplines/Infernal Familiar thing)

Q7: Is there a difference between your casual play and tournament play?

Yes, I'm much more aggressive and aware of the table dynamics in tournaments. Casual play is just that, casual. No big deal, just fun.
