Q1: How (and when) did you begin your career as a VTES-player? Who introduced you to the game? Where did you play originally? I am not a long-timer! Andreas Nusser showed me his "Vampire card game" in about 1999. I was very sceptic at the beginning about the whole thing but after the first game I was hooked up :-). I have always been playing in this area, although I try to play wherever I travel. |
Q2: Which of the Sets and Expansions to VTES is your favorite, and why is it your top choice? My top choice would be the Sabbat expansion, because I like the art and there are so many great cards (Disarm!) introduced. Camarilla Edition is also a favorite because itīs good for draft tournaments. |
Q3: What is your favorite deck to play, and why? My favorite deck changes from time to time. Before CE it was certainly my !Malk/Derange Deck but as Derange cannot be played on older vampires anymore this is gone. At the moment my favorite decks are those based around True Brujah, because Temporis is cool and I like the way the Trujahs are described in the Vampire RPG. |
Q4: If you could add something to the game, what would it be? Female players. |
Q5: What do you do to help promote the game / why are you in this list of people? I am helping Andreas Nusser with organizing the V:EKN Germany (regular tournaments, qualifiers and the EC 2004) and the www.vekn.de website. My company funds all of our long and short V:TES travels and sponsored the content management system/webspace for our website. From time to time I post on the newsgroup and I am a frequent tournament traveller. |
Q6: What is your favorite deck style for casual play / tournament play? I like all kind of decks but I am more into Vote/Bleed decks than combat decks. For tournament play I usually use decks which seem to be very good to me and prove to be crappy at the tournament :-). Therefore I like playing Limited because you cannot bring a bad deck. |
Q7: Is there a difference between your casual play and tournament play? Every time we do a gaming evening I try to bring one or two new decks based on a new idea. Those are more than often quite uneffective but fun to play. For tournament play I try to bring a focussed deck but as you can see in Q6 I will have to work on that. |
