Q1: How (and when) did you begin your career as a VTES-player? Who introduced you to the game? Where did you play originally? I started some month after Jyhad was introduced, bought two starters, changed some cards to make them playable. I only knew the rules from the rule book. I first played with my girlfriend and it was weird, second game was with afriend, who won, because one of his vampire had a gun. But then Joscha (the European Champion 2001) and i were hooked. We started organizing tournaments in the long dead time of VTES, and so i am proud to say, that i am one of the guys, who made that game live. |
Q2: Which of the Sets and Expansions to VTES is your favorite, and why is it your top choice? Sabbat. The problem with the expansions is, that there are always many reprints. But i played for years my favourate Lasombra deck and that was only possible the Sabbat expansion. |
|
Q3: What is your favorite deck to play, and why? On tournaments i played long time my Lasombra vote deck (with new Lasombras, win the votes with power structure and make much pool with Consangineus Boon). My last favorite deck was a Goratrix deck. |
Q4: If you could add something to the game, what would it be? The big question about the future of VTES. I think VTES is a game, that will not become broken with more expansion, if they are made cautious. Because new expansion dont need to change old strategies. A new discipline for example dont have to make an old clan more powerful. So IMO the concept of Blood Lines was a very good idea, even that some of the Blood Line Clans are to weak. I say, the next expansion after the Anarchs should be Black Hand, than an Ally expansion. On the log run, i think a good made crossover game with Werewolves or Mages can be nice. |

Q5: What do you do to help promote the game / why are you in this list of people? I co-organized the German Championships 2000 (it started organization before WW take control), 2001 and 2002. I was head Judge of the German Championship 2001. I am in the happy situation that Frankfurt is in the middle of some of the bigger German playing groups, so my tournaments have usual some players. |
Q6: What is your favorite deck style for casual play / tournament play? At the moment, i mostly like combat decks. I hate, really HATE stealth/bleed decks, because they play automatically. |
|
Q7: Is there a difference between your casual play and tournament play? No. I dont play really weak decks at tournaments, but i test my decks at casual play. |
