Q1: How (and when) did you begin your career as a VTES-player? Who introduced you to the game? Where did you play originally? I began playing in 1994 with Arnold Pettersson aka BigA. I played with Arnold, his brother Oskar and Henrik (sg3kmb613sdf5gr) out in the woods around Örebro (Sweden). |
Q2: Which of the Sets and Expansions to VTES is your favorite, and why is it your top choice? They all have their highlights, even though Bloodlines is the most interesting one for making new kick-ass decks. Also the original Jyhad set needs some big ups for the wonderful color and design. |
Q3: What is your favorite deck to play, and why? It depends on my mood... Currently it's a Giovanni deck with a bunch of Shambling Hordes in it. I also like the Ravnos clan, mostly the weenies. Ahrimanes is a favourite since they're so allround and has a bunch of great cards/vampires. |
Q4: If you could add something to the game, what would it be? A Twin Peaks expansion, or something with Das Ich. More precon decks, preferably with some Warghouls. I also liked the old quotes a lot (Sisters of mercy, Leonard Cohen), so more of those would be nice. |
Q5: What do you do to help promote the game / why are you in this list of people? I don't do so much to promote the game except playing it a lot. Sten Düring suggested that I should be on the list as I'm one of the swedish players with high ranking on the VEKN-list. I try to play my decks with some kind of twist to them. |
Q6: What is your favorite deck style for casual play / tournament play? When I play casual I often play more experimental deck styles and then bring those who have done well to the tournaments. As said above I try to have some sort of twist to the decks I play, like Shambling Hordes with Weighted Walking Stick and Pulled Fangs for that extra damage. When building a deck I always try to build the best of that kind, so the decks I bring to tournaments are usually optimized all to much and runs in to the stuff I didn't opt against. Also I'm not likely to play a stealth-bleeder (except Baali). |
Q7: Is there a difference between your casual play and tournament play? During tournaments I (almost) never play untested decks. I'm probably a bit more focused during tournaments and when giving advise to other players I'm a little nicer during casual play. I tend to deal more with other players during tournaments, since it's often isn't worth the effort in casual play. |
