Q1: How (and when) did you begin your career as a VTES-player? Who introduced you to the game? Where did you play originally?

I was introduced by someone in my V:TM playgroup in about 1998. I had no idea it existed until then. He gave me about 100 - 150 common cards and told me to make a deck. After making my first deck, I got the bug. I went out and bought as much as I could. Within 6 months I had run out of space in my first storage box. We originally played at the said friends house, but one day (whilst I was bored at work) I surfed the net and found out there was a "scene" in nearby London and Portsmouth. I showed up to a tourney at both and was hooked. In my first ever event (London), I scored 6 VP in 2 games, but had to go home. This was with a Gangrel sneak bleed deck with no dominate (I had not even heard of Ancient Hearts at this stage...). Shortly afterwards, I petitioned for the title of Prince.

Q2: Which of the Sets and Expansions to VTES is your favorite, and why is it your top choice?

Bloodlines. It is so varied and introduces so many great ideas, good and bad. Plus the artwork is of a marginally better quality than most expansions previous and since.

Q3: What is your favorite deck to play, and why?

Favourite deck to play pre cammie ed was my Synesios / Setites Rewind Time deck. Great fun, and reasonably competitive. I might have it on file... I'll have to dig. Other fave deck is the "Eurobrujah know what you did last summer" deck. Still good even post Cammie ed. It won a tourney, so should be availible.

Q4: If you could add something to the game, what would it be?

Subsidised International Events. Once I'm rich, anyhow...

Q5: What do you do to help promote the game / why are you in this list of people?

Blimey!

- (shambolic) Editor of the Gangrel Newsletter

- National Co-ordinator of VTES play - 2 x Gencons, 2 x Euro Qualifiers and countless local tourneys done by me in the last 3 years.

- I let everyone else beat me quite a lot so they feel better about themselves. ;)

Q6: What is your favorite deck style for casual play / tournament play?

Combat. With Celerity.

Q7: Is there a difference between your casual play and tournament play?

I lose more in casual play, because I don't try as hard. And I very rarely play ANYTHING except some sort of combat deck in casual play.
