Q1: How (and when) did you begin your career as a VTES-player? Who introduced you to the game? Where did you play originally? As I student, Rob Treasure introduced me to it, maybe in '97. Played in a student flat with Rob, William Lee and Steve Wright plus others. I ended up sharing a house with firstly Rob, then Jon Cooper, then Jon, Wil and Steve. It was very good practise. |
Q2: Which of the Sets and Expansions to VTES is your favorite, and why is it your top choice? Sabbat, remember seeing the cards in an Isle of Wight Tournament and thinking they looked cool. Gave the game a much needed boost and it had disarm in. |
Q3: What is your favorite deck to play, and why? Close call, I have a Richter beats deck I love, The Gangrel Royalty I won U.K Championships with is also a favourite. |
Q4: If you could add something to the game, what would it be? I'd hire someone to hold classes to get rid of the Lack of imagination in established players. People who have played for years and wind up playing bog-standard sneak bleed decks are a bugbear. |
Q5: What do you do to help promote the game / why are you in this list of people? Current U.K. Champion, one of the better players in Britain? |
Q6: What is your favorite deck style for casual play / tournament play? Casual play, trying to get cards to work that wouldn't normally be played. Tournament, usually anything that can hold it's own in a fight. |
Q7: Is there a difference between your casual play and tournament play? Without doubt, I just think about the game and table balance more, I think in casual play it's best to let decks see what they can do rather than screw them over at the first oppotunity. |
