Sun Tzu's Art of War

Interpreted by the Lasombra

If you know your enemy, and know yourself,
in 100 battles you will not be imperiled.

If you know what your deck does, and what cards you have left, the knowledge you gain of your opponents deck should always tilt the game in your favor.

If you know what a clan is capable of, you know what portions of your deck can help keep you alive or advance your strategy most effectively.

Never stop exploring the ideas around and behind the clans, disciplines, masters, cards, and strategies. The more you know about how the game can be played, the better able you will be to predict the correct actions for your minions to take.

So a military force is established by deception,
mobilized by gain, and adapted by division and combination.

The most dangerous person at the table is your predator. It doesn't matter if he hasn't ever played before, he has the deck that will sweep you and the rest of the table right out of the game. If you cannot make this information believable to the rest of the table, your ability to sweep will be significantly hampered. If you allow yourself to become the target of the table by not properly redirecting the table at either the player in the best position, or your predator, you will be adversely affected by all leftover damage from votes, all bounced bleeds, all diablerie survival decisions. Do not leave this to chance or to another smooth talker. The more players at the table that have read this article, the less chance you have of making this strategy believable.
