===== 1 - Word from the editors desk =====

Ah, autumn in scandinavia is fantastic. A lot of things happening.
Fresh autumn air, leaves dropping from the trees to rot during the
winter. And rotting is the clan Samedi's specialty. Welcome to the
second edition of the revived Samedi clans newsletter. I hope you
will enjoy your stay here together with me and find some interesting
things within to enrich your day with :)

===== 2 - Single card Focus: Reanimated Corpse =====

I'm a sucker for allies and I always try to find new ways to twist on
existing ally archetypes to see where it leads me and the Samedi
bloodlines "kindred spirits" card has to be Reanimated Corpse -
It is that strong in my opinion. Lets take a closer look at the card:

Reanimated Corpse
Cost: X blood
Zombie with 2 life. 2 strength, 2 bleed.
[thn] Put X pathos counters on this corpse when it enters play. During
your untap phase, burn 1 pathos counter.
Remove the corpse from the game if it has no pathos counters.
The corpse can play combat cards that require basic Fortitude [for] as a vampire.
[THN] As above, but put 2 additional pathos counters on the corpse

With superior Thanatosis you get a lot of bang for your buck, the cost
for this little rascal isnt high at all - in fact I'd define this as a
fairly underpriced card. This ally is strong for its bleeding potentials,
setting up a bunch of these on the table will put a lot of pressure on
your prey, especially since they can use combat prevention to good effects
so they can be some form of bruise bleeders. Punches for 2 hurts in the
long run and taking two pool damage if you let them in will surely damage
if the pressure is constantly up.
Since they blow up they are a good pairing with Shambling hordes, this
way you get both beatdown and bleeders if you choose to add them both to
the same deck. With the in-clan discipline Obfuscate you get Psychic veil
too, so your army of zombies gets trickier to fetch.

Trap + Molotov and a splash of fortitude prevent should be an amusing
setup with the Corpses as well ;)

So, what is stopping the reanimated corpses to enter the tournament
winning deck archive? Probably the crypt selection available, which
I hope gets looked at in Keepers of Tradition. The one who lives
will see. I will make it my mission for 2009 to have a deck around
these lovable guys hitting the TWDA, a quest I will take very seriously.
So any suggestions or strategic discussion can either reply to this post
or hit me with an email: Kitzuneninja (at) hotmail.com. Would love to hear
some ideas! :)

===== 3 - Deck of the month: corpse Patrol =====

Credit to this months feature presentation goes out to the true
gentleman Klaital, who didnt name his creation so I went ahead and
baptized it while waiting for its proper name. Enjoy this cool design!

Deck: Corpse Patrol
Author: Klaital

Comments: I would need to figure out some more poolgain there somehow,
and/or more defense, as will have some problems against an aggressive
predator, but once it gets going it is pretty strong.
Tupdogs make great shambler material while thinning the
crypt and can often recruit some ally too before blowing up, just
a shame that they don't have enough blood to recruit a procurer.
